Pilates with Puppies

Join us for the best fundraiser ever! This adorable and super fun basic Pilates class will involve furry friends available for adoption running among your legs and arms (or napping on you) as you exercise.

All levels are welcome, including your well-behaved children as long as they stay on their mat. 100% of ticket sales go to Asheville Humane Society. Price includes credit card fee. Please BYO mat. Puppies are provided by Asheville Humane.

How it all started

In early June 2017, I was at an event where the Asheville Humane Society had a bunch of puppies available for adoption. I asked to hold a puppy, and at that moment decided that I needed more puppies in my life.

I thought…there’s Yoga with Cats, Yoga with Goats, Yoga with Horses....I want to do Pilates with Puppies! I contacted the Asheville Humane Society and we scheduled our first class for October 2017. For $20-25, participants take a beginner friendly Pilates class, and AHS supplies the puppies. 100% of tickets sales are donated to AHS.

We will continue this awesome fundraiser class whenever we can secure puppies and the space at AHS.

I would love for Pilates with Puppies to become a class taught all over the world. My hope is that wherever it is taught, that $ will go back to the local animal shelter to help animals find forever homes.
